Hey everybody! I will be going to BlogHer 2010 in New York City this week and I am so excited! Part of the reason I am able to go is because of my personal BlogHer sponsor, Joy Berry Books. I received her “Help Me Be Good” book set a little while back and have had a chance to read these awesome books with my children. I remember having a few of these books when I was a kid, and loved them. I recognized the faces of the characters the moment I saw them. All the books teach a valuable lesson and are fun and easy to read. The set comes with 28 best selling titles, a CD of songs for each book, and a “Parent’s Guide” book that is filled with activities for the entire series! My daughter, Maddie, loves me to read them to her! Just look at all the books you get!
*****GIVEAWAY DOWN BELOW*****
Also, Joy Berry just released her new iPhone app, “I Love Potty Training“! The app includes:
- “I Love Potty Training” Interactive eBook (Boys/Girls) in English & Spanish!
- A Potty Tracker with “Great Job” Reward Button
- Potty Drop Game
- Potty Training Tips & Advice
- Emails Diploma when Potty Training Is Complete
How cool is that!?! My son is ready to start potty training now, but I am going to wait until I get back from BlogHer to start the process! I will have a follow-up post to let you know how well the app worked in encouraging him to learn how to use the “potty”. We have had a chance to play with the app though! My son was very interested in it and had fun reading/listening to the interactive ebook. He could easily work the ebook and “Potty Drop” game by himself and sat and played with it for quite some time! I’m excited to see how the app helps my son in his potty training process when I get back from BlogHer!

I am currently trying to potty train my daughter. I would totally enjoy some potty training literature in our house.
Does anyone else have the problem of their 5 year old interrupting most conversations?! This would be awesome for her, and I am sure there is other books in this collection I could apply to her.

I could seriously use the whole set!! but if I had to pick just one, I think “Disobeying” might be the catch-all book to help us w/our 6yo and 7yo right now…

I would love the set that includes the potty training books…I have a stubborn little one on my hands!
I am PRETTY certain that the Help Me Not Be Messy is what my seven year old needs. He is THE best kid, but his room is always super untidy and leaves his shoes everywhere. BTW I love you!

Wow. Do I have to pick just one title? Being Selfish and Disobeying are at the top of our list, though about half of the titles would be appropriate on any given day in our home…and the others in another year. Thank you for introducing me to these titles. I think they need to go on our wish list if I don’t win!!!
Being Patient would be terrific.

I’ll say temper tantrums one. Since my daughter is in the process of throwing one because I won’t let her have a marshmallow.
I like Keeping up with MOM on FB.
getting along with others would be good

Well, after this weekend, I’d say we need the book about throwing tantrums. The Fighting book would help out as well. Of course disobeying, whining and teasing are all good contenders as well. Clearly we need the whole thing. **sigh**
