I would love to get this for my husband!! He really needs a new camera. Ours is really crappin’ out on us right now. Everything is blurry, so we have glaucoma pictures of our kids’ birthdays! =) He would love the key chain, too. He is always saying he wants to take pics to work, but he can’t have a frame on his desk. Maybe if I hook him up with those, he’ll let me take over the frame. =) We’ll see.

Just tweeted about the contest – @scottcowley. I also thought you also might be interested in a recent blog post of a friend of mine on social-media-as-contest-entry like you’ve done here. You could use some of these on a future contest: http://www.seo.com/blog/how-to-give-away-stuff-and-make-money-doing-it . Fingers crossed.

It’s hard to show your father how much you love him when you are a poor, starving college student. Last year I have him a homemade bust of my mother made out of remnants of Ramen noodles and olive pits, all held together with homemade syrup. It brought tears to his eyes… and I think it was more from the smell than anything else.

The year before that, I made him a knife out of an obsidian rock I found in the mountains. Ok, it really wasn’t a knife… it was more like an oversized, asymmetrical arrowhead made, not for catching pray to feed one’s family, but to put oneself out of his own misery for having raised a son who doesn’t know how to make anything but oversized asymmetrical arrowheads.

I don’t want to go wrong this year. Help me. Help me make it up to my blessed Father who has shown my family nothing but love and patience with our ill contrived gifts of a pointless nature.
